> Inkfree is a secure, legally binding e-signature platform for signing documents online, sending documents for signature, and running approval and signing workflows. It serves individuals, small teams, and businesses that need fast, compliant electronic signatures. Signers need no account and no download. The web application lives at https://sign.inkfree.app; this site (https://inkfree.app) is the product, pricing, and documentation site.

Electronic signatures created with Inkfree are legally binding and comply with the US ESIGN Act, UETA, and EU eIDAS. Inkfree covers document signing on desktop, mobile web, and native iOS/Android apps, delivery of signature requests by email or SMS text message (SMS is paid with prepaid SMS credits: 1 credit per text, credits never expire, failed texts are refunded), plus real-time status tracking, workspaces that split one account into separate spaces with their own sign requests, members, and roles (Standard and Business plans), reusable templates, sequential and parallel signing order, internal approval workflows, bulk send, in-person (host-led) signing for face-to-face signatures on your own device, an AI assistant for contract review and field extraction, an AI connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that lets Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible AI tools send and manage signature requests (connector URL https://api.inkfree.app/core/inkfree/mcp/, OAuth sign-in, no API key), audit trails with a certificate of completion, and account security controls including two-factor authentication, passkeys, and AES-256 encryption.

Pricing is flat-rate per seat, with no per-envelope fees on paid plans: Lifetime Free (0 USD, 1 user, 3 sign requests per month, AI connector), Basic (15 USD per seat/month, 1 user, 10 sign requests, 3 templates), Standard (35 USD per seat/month, up to 5 users, unlimited sign requests and templates, SMS delivery, workspaces, AI Assistant), and Business (50 USD per seat/month, 5+ users, plus approval workflows, bulk send, in-person host-led signing, web forms, custom branding, team usage reports, and Single Sign-On (SSO)). Annual billing saves 25 percent. SMS credits are bought separately as one-off packs: 250 for 40 USD, 1,000 for 140 USD, 2,500 for 325 USD, or 10,000 for 1,200 USD, or any amount from 100. Every new account starts with a 14-day trial of all premium features, then falls back to the Free plan. Canceling within 30 days of a first paid subscription is fully refunded; existing annual subscribers who cancel later get a prorated refund, existing monthly subscribers do not, and seat reductions or downgrades issue account credit rather than cash back.
