The Inkfree MCP server exposes 32 tools across sign requests, templates, sharing, web forms, and reports. Your AI client picks the right one from your prompt, so you rarely call them by name.

Access levels
Each tool is marked with how much it can change. The level also decides which rate-limit bucket a call draws from, per session and per account.
- Read tools return data and change nothing.
- Write tools change one envelope, template, folder, or share. Delete tools require
confirm=true, refuse a folder that is not empty, and refuse a Pending envelope until it is voided. - Send tools email signers. They work from a prepared draft or a template; no tool composes a new envelope from an uploaded file.
Sign requests
Find, send, follow up on, and organize envelopes. Envelope folders are a separate tree from template folders.

Templates
Browse reusable templates and send new envelopes from them. Signing order, fields, and reminders come from the template.

Sharing
Give a colleague view-only access to an envelope without making them a signer.

IDs, folders, and dates
- Tools that act on one item take the ID a list tool returned:
requestIdfor envelopes and envelope folders,templateIdfor templates and template folders. Assistants look these up for you, so you can refer to items by name in a prompt. - Envelopes and templates have separate folder trees. A
parentIdornewParentIdof0means the root folder. - Report tools that take
fromDateandtoDatereport on that date range. Relative requests like "last month" are converted to dates by the assistant.
