How to Use AI to Review Contract Terms
An incoming contract deserves a careful read — but a careful read is faster when you know where to look. Use the assistant as your first-pass reviewer.
A Practical Review Flow
1. Open the contract and launch the AI Assistant.
2. Run the orientation questions:
• "Summarize the agreement and identify the parties and term."
• "List every obligation on our side."
• "Are there auto-renewal, exclusivity, or non-compete terms?"
• "What are the termination rights and notice periods?"
• "Which law governs, and where are disputes resolved?"
3. For each flagged section, read the actual clause yourself — the assistant's job is to aim your attention, not replace it.
4. Note discrepancies with what was negotiated, and route them back to the sender (or decline with reasons, if you're a signer).
