Good Habits 

•  Extract before building fields on a long third-party document — you'll know what needs a field and where. 

•  Verify anything that feeds money or dates downstream; extraction is excellent but the document is the truth. 

•  Scanned PDFs extract only as well as their text layer — clean, text-based PDFs give the best results.
