Understanding Approval Statuses
A request with approvers moves through distinct approval states — here's how to read them on the request detail page.
The Statuses
• Pending approval — the approver has been notified and hasn't acted. Signers are not yet aware of the request.
• Approved — the reviewer signed off; signing invitations went out automatically the same moment.
• Rejected — the reviewer declined to approve. The request stops; the reason is logged and shown to you. Signing never starts.
Where to See Them
• The request detail page shows each approver with their status badge.
• The audit trail records who approved or rejected, when, and — for rejections — why.
• Your notifications fire on each transition, so you rarely need to check manually.
Note: A rejected request can't be "re-approved" — fix the document, duplicate the request, and send the corrected version through the same workflow.
