Setting Up Passkeys for Your Account

Jul 31, 20262 min read

Passkeys are the modern replacement for passwords: you log in with your device's fingerprint, face, or PIN, and there's no password to phish, leak, or forget. Inkfree supports them natively.

Steps

1.  Open Settings → Security and find the Passkeys section.

2.  Click Add passkey

3.  Your browser takes over: confirm with Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your phone's screen lock.

4.  Give the passkey a recognizable name ("Work MacBook", "Pixel 9") and save.

Logging In with a Passkey

On the login page, choose Sign in with a passkey and confirm with your device. That's the whole flow — no password, no OTP.

Practical Tips

•  Register a passkey on each device you use regularly.

•  Keep your password as a fallback for borrowed or new devices.

•  Passkeys are phishing-resistant by design: they only work on the real Inkfree domain, so a lookalike site gets nothing.
