Understanding User Roles in Inkfree
Not everyone on the team should touch billing, and not everyone needs to build templates. Roles are how you give each person exactly the access their job requires: no more, no less.
Where Roles Live
Open Settings → Roles (under Organization):
• Admin, the built-in role with full access: app, billing, team, and settings.
• Custom roles: anything you create, defined by granular permissions per resource.
The Permission Model
Each role grants specific actions on specific resources:
• Contacts: add, update, fetch.
• Sign requests: send, delete, fetch, download.
• Templates: add, update, delete, fetch.
• Billing: update.
…and so on. A "Sales Sender" role might get sign: send + fetch and templates: fetch, which lets them send from approved templates but not edit them or see billing.
Least Privilege
Grant the least access each person needs. You can widen a role in one click later; unwinding over-broad access after the fact is much messier.
Where IT owns access management, map Inkfree roles onto the job functions you already provision elsewhere, so quarterly access reviews stay short.
