How to Edit an Existing Template
Rates change, clauses get updated, logos get refreshed. Editing a template keeps every future send current — without touching anything already in flight.
Steps
1. Open Templates in the sidebar.
2. Find the template and open its menu (⋮).
3. Choose Edit. From here you can:
• Replace or update the underlying document.
• Add, move, or remove fields.
• Rename roles or adjust the signing order.
• Rewrite the default email message.
4. Save.
What Editing Affects
• Future sends use the updated template immediately.
• Requests already sent are untouched — they carry the version that existed when they went out, which is exactly what the audit trail requires.
Tip: For a major revision (new legal terms, new layout), consider duplicating the template first and keeping the old one until the new version is validated — instant rollback if something's off.
