How to Convert a Word or PDF File into an Inkfree Template

Steps
1. Open Templates → Create Template.
2. Upload the .docx or .pdf file. Word documents are converted to PDF automatically, locking the layout.
3. Add roles for each party who'll sign.
4. Drag fields onto the converted document — signature and date on the signature lines, text fields for the fill-ins.
5. Save.
Word-Specific Tips
• Review the converted preview once: unusual fonts or dense tables can shift slightly in conversion. For pixel-perfect fidelity, export to PDF from Word yourself and upload the PDF.
• Delete the underlining and "sign here: ______" artifacts from the source before uploading — your placed fields replace them more cleanly.
