Understanding the Inkfree Dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in, and it's designed to answer one question fast: what needs your attention today? This article walks through each part of the dashboard so you always know where to look.
The Main Work Area
• Drop zone — the fastest way to start: drag a PDF or Word file anywhere onto the dashboard and Inkfree begins a new sign request with that document already uploaded.
• Stats cards — live counts of requests in progress, completed, and waiting on you. Anything "waiting on you" deserves a click first.
• Recent activity — the latest events across all your requests: who viewed, who signed, what completed.
The Sidebar
The sidebar is your map of the product:
1. Create Request — the orange button that starts everything. The arrow beside it offers additional options such as Self Sign.
2. Dashboard — this screen.
3. Templates — reusable documents with saved fields.
4. Web Forms — signable forms you can share by link.
5. Contacts — your saved recipients.
6. Sign Request — the full list of everything you've sent.
7. Reports — analytics on volume and turnaround (Business plan).
The Top Bar
• Usage & Plan — a ring that fills as you send documents, e.g. "3 / 25 docs". Click it to review or change your plan.
• Inbox & notifications — the Inbox gives you quick access to incoming sign requests and their status, while the bell icon keeps you updated on signature activity and other important notifications.
• Help — the question-mark icon opens this Help Center.
• Profile — your avatar opens Settings, Signatures & Initials, and log out.
Tip: Working on a small screen? Click Close Sidebar at the bottom of the sidebar to collapse it into icons and reclaim the space.
