Password Expiry: Why Inkfree Asks You to Change Your Password

Jul 31, 20262 min read

If a "your password expires soon" notice appeared at login, your organization has a password-rotation policy — a security rule set by your workspace admins, not a glitch.

How It Works

1.  Admins set an expiry interval in Settings → Security Policies (e.g. every 90 days).

2.  As your deadline approaches, Inkfree shows a heads-up at login with the days remaining — including a grace period, so you're never locked out mid-task.

3.  Change your password before the grace period ends: Settings → Security, or straight from the prompt.

4.  Miss the deadline? The next login requires the change before you can continue — your account and documents are untouched, just gated behind the new password.

Choosing the Replacement

•  It must meet the same strength rules as always (8+ characters, mixed case, number, symbol).

•  It can't be the password you just used.

•  A password manager makes rotation painless — generate, save, done.
