How to Add CC Recipients to a Document

Last Updated: Jul 31, 20262 min read

Some people don't need to sign; they need to know. CC recipients receive the final signed package automatically, without being part of the signing flow.

Adding a CC

1.  On the Approvers and Signers step, add the person's name and email.

2.  Change their role dropdown from Need to Sign to the CC / Receives a copy option.

3.  Send as usual.

How CC Works

•  CC recipients take no action: no signing link, no fields, no reminders.

•  When the request completes, they receive the final signed documents and certificate in the same automatic distribution as the signers.

•  They appear in the audit trail as copy recipients, so the record shows who received the agreement.

Who to CC

Finance (for the countersigned invoice terms), operations (to trigger provisioning), a shared records mailbox (for the archive). Adding CCs at send time beats forwarding PDFs manually later: it's automatic and it's logged.
