How to Sign a Document You've Received
Someone sent you a document through Inkfree — here's the complete walkthrough, from the email in your inbox to the signed copy coming back to you. No account, no app, no printing.
Step 1: Open the Link
1. Find the email from Inkfree — it names the sender and the document title.
2. Click the signing button. A landing page shows the request details and the sender's message.
3. Continue to the document.
Step 2: Verify If Asked
If the sender enabled verification, complete it before the document opens:
• Email OTP — enter the one-time code just sent to your inbox.
• Access code — enter the code the sender shared with you separately.
Step 3: Fill Your Fields
1. Your fields are highlighted; the top bar counts required ones down ("1 required field left").
2. Type text, tick boxes, pick dates. Multiple documents? The right-hand panel lists them all and tracks your progress through each.
Step 4: Sign and Finish
1. Click Start signing.
2. Apply your signature — draw, type, or upload an image of it.
3. Click Finish.
You'll see a confirmation. Once every party has signed, the completed document and certificate of completion land in your inbox automatically.
Note: Not the right person, or something looks wrong? The top bar also offers Decline (with a reason) and Delegate (hand it to the right person) — both are legitimate, recorded outcomes.
