Why Has My Account Been Deactivated?
Seeing a deactivation notice at login is alarming, but the cause is usually mundane and fixable. Here are the common reasons and the path back for each.
Common Causes
1. A workspace admin removed or deactivated you. Team admins manage membership from Settings → Teams; if your role changed or you left a project, this is the likely cause.
2. The subscription changed. If your organization reduced seats or a payment lapsed, member accounts beyond the new limit are deactivated.
3. Security protection. Unusual activity — logins from unexpected locations, spam reports from recipients — can trigger a protective lock while we investigate.
How to Get Reactivated
• Team member? Contact your workspace admin first. Reactivation is a one-click action on their side in Settings → Teams.
• Account owner? Check that billing is current in Settings → My Plan, then contact support if the deactivation persists.
• Suspect a security lock? Contact support from your registered email — we'll verify your identity and walk through what triggered it.
Note: Deactivation never deletes your data. Your documents, templates, and history are intact and waiting when access is restored.
