Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication is the single most effective upgrade you can make to your account security. Even if someone steals your password, they can't get in without the rotating code on your phone. Setup takes two minutes. 

What You'll Need 

An authenticator app on your phone — Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password all work. 

Steps 

1.  Open Settings → Security and find the Two-factor authentication section. 

 2.  Click Enable. A QR code appears on screen. 

3.  Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code. 

•  Can't scan? Click the manual-entry option and type the setup key into your app instead. 

4.  Your app now shows a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. Enter the current code to confirm the pairing. 

5.  Done — 2FA is active.

From now on, after entering your password you'll be asked for the current 6-digit code from your app.  

If Your Organization Enforces 2FA 

Admins can require 2FA for every member (Settings → Security Policies). In that case you'll be walked through this exact setup at your next login — it can't be skipped, and that's a good thing.
