Understanding Document Status Labels
Every badge in your Sign Request list means something precise. Here's the decoder.
Request-Level Statuses
• In progress — sent, and at least one signature is still pending.
• Waiting for others — your part is done; other signers are pending.
• Completed — everyone signed; final documents and certificate distributed automatically.
• Declined — a recipient declined to sign; their reason is logged and other signers are on hold.
• Voided — you cancelled the request; links are dead, record preserved.
• Expired — the expiration date passed before completion.
Signer-Level Badges
On the request detail page, each recipient carries their own state: Signed, Pending, Approved, On hold (a decline elsewhere paused them), or Declined.
Reading Them Together
"In progress" with one signer "Pending" for a week is a reminder waiting to be sent. "Declined" with a reason is your to-do to fix and resend. The statuses aren't just labels — each has an obvious next action.
